Jinyin Pavilion
Among the eight tones, Jinshi is the prior. As for elegant music in ancestral temples, Jinshi also occupies the main position. In particular, the bell is the main instrument of ancestral temple music. Such bronze bell is a large single percussion instrument, which was popular in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States period. It was a kind of musical instrument used by nobles in banquets or sacrifices with chimes and stone chimes. Shuowen has recorded that: "Bo, a big bell, belongs to Chunyu, so it should also belong to bell chime". It's a rhythmic instrument used to conduct a band.
The bronze bell sculptures here refer to the panli shaped bronze bell in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, which echo the kuishen drum in kuigu square. It is also accompanied by the natural Qushui stone chime, forming the sound of Jinshi, implying that "the arrival of distinguished guests, the ringing of bells and drums, elegant and natural, to show solemnity".
